It’s really been awhile since I’ve had a good time working with HTML. It’s hard to say what I really want to learn or gain from all this.

1) Refresh – Actually more like a reteach on things, I’ve had the intro to scripting class and didn’t think my teacher was the best in teaching the class. She left me wondering on some of the stuff she thaught. After the quarter was finished, I felt slightly ripped off. I felt like I like just a slight bit more than I did before, but not by much.

2) External CSS - I had a grasp on what it was about, and how to work it. But I feel like I could do so much more and actually better. I was thinking more of the lines of multiple pages and how I can make it more efficient instead of making it harder than it has to be.

3) A sharp eye – I can type HTML all day and try to view it, but it won’t work. So when it happens, I freak out and overlook on simple things that it is. Like spelling or not putting a semi-colon somewhere.

4) I was thinking about more languages but if I remember correctly, we are learning just the HTML aspect. Maybe XHTML? I am not really sure what differences there are or if one is better than the other. But then again, with these scripting languages outdating themselves when we get out of school, I am interested to see how much HTML will stay with us.

5) I really don’t have a fifth one, it seems kind of hard for me to come up with something just off the bat. But I do know that during the course of the quarter, I will come across plenty of things that I want to learn or improve upon

I’ve been in this class in a previous quarter and it seemed like I was just struggling on simple things. But it seems like from what I’ve seen last quarter, I will get the full potential on learning. As well as more work time to work things out and be able to get all my questions answered.

  1. I understand your frustration on the subjects of teachers & errors in code that you just can’t see but which manage to hang the whole thing up. I’m glad that Mr. Batchelder seems to be more helpful & hands on than some teachers I’ve had in the past.
