Week 2 Assignment 1 Homework
The two intros I chose to see was Lord of War and The Number 23.
The Lord of War intro was very interesting, sometimes my head hurt from the point of view that they were portraying it from(the bullet) but very well done. Showing from the factory to the very end where it was used and shot right into the black boy’s head. The song made no sense or revelance to the movie. Not knowing what the movie is about, I gather it is a war movie that has to deal with Africa? It went from the factory to the military and would up in Africa.
The Number 23 had very well sequenced with the red and white wording/background playing off of the violin that created the tension. Each tragic event had numbers that equaled to 23 or the date of 23. I would categorize this as a violent movie but really it was more suspenseful from what I remembered.

The first logo with the doughnuts was pretty much the easiest one. I created several layers and thought it worked out well. Though Likens had already pointed out the 3 color maximum, I tried the 3 colors but thought about the white space in the middle for the hole of a doughnut.
THe second logo was an abstract look with the cook and the dougnut laid from a distance. This was actually my favorite one. My only gripe I came across was that I couldn’t create a cup handle to save my life! I had so many problems then trying to fill it in.
The third logo was okay, I had so much of a struggle creating. And it didn’t turn out as anticipated plus the idea of putting this on a business card would look miserable! I was thinking about doing a halo/wing kind of thing, but that would have been way too much details.
